Reflective Self Care Affirmation Cards

Two hours of fun and playful artmaking!

How is your current self care routine? I wonder if, like me, you have some areas and ways in which you've learned to take care of yourself well, and yet also have areas where it is a struggle.

This event is both an act of self care, through playful and reflective art-making, AND an opportunity to consider how to strengthen your on-going Self Care Routine.

We will take inspiration from and engage in discussion around Brianna Wiest's article: This Is What Self-Care Really Means, Because It’s Not All Salt Baths And Chocolate Cake. (Yes, feel free to take a look now! 🙂)

And then, you will have opportunity to make for yourself a set of Self Care Affirmation Cards. Think about the messages that are particularly meaningful to you, and create a card for each one.

The cards we will make are on cardstock, or old playing cards. Materials will be provided to decorate in any way you want--collage, paint, mixed media.

All materials supplied. No "artistic ability" necessary.

Preparation: You don't need to bring anything to this event, however, if you do have some images or words that draw or inspire you (from magazine, printed from the internet, etc.) feel free to bring them along
